SNOOZE BUTTON 8.14.17

Men of Central Ohio & PAX,

When your alarm goes off in the morning do you hit the snooze button? What about when your wife asks you to do something that is “important” to her, do you hit the snooze button? What about when the kids want to play, do you hit the snooze button? Do you hit the snooze button at work on that next project? Do you hit the snooze button on your health?

Why are you so incline to hit SNOOZZE?

There was a time in the lives of MEN when there was no snooze button… A man was made by the work he put forth in a day. The clock inside him ticked, ticked, ticked with survival. Protection and provision were his motivation. His mind was sharp, his hands were worn, and his heart was full.

Like many of you reading this email, I struggle with Snooze and am guilty of hitting that button over and over and over again. Every time the figurative alarm of life goes off we make a choice. SNOOZE or MOVE.

Will you join me as I attempt to move over snooze? 0445 comes early, that deadline comes quickly, my kids lives are short, my wife has value, and snooze has no place.

We might “just” workout for 45mins to an hour 3-4 times a week (wink wink Mariah). But that choice to Move after a long night with the kids, after the bank account goes to zero, and after the deadline passes. Is the choice that makes the difference in determining who you are!

So, No matter the alarm, QUIT HITTING SNOOZE. You’re only causing delay in the 168hrs you’re given in a week and in the fleeting moments you have to Love, Care, Protect, Provided, and Serve your Family, Friends, and Community.

It isn’t about a workout; it is about not hitting snooze anymore!

YHC,

Bo Schembechler

“He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christs may rest upon me.” – 2 Cor 12:9
