January 1st, 2018
PAX & other Men,
It is the time of year when the weather starts to slowly cool and the volume on the T.V. gets turned up. At some point after 16 weeks when we will find our selves tailgate after tailgate wondering where the apathy set in? Followed by a new year resolution to “eat better” or “be more active!”
I’ve never been one for planning ahead. I’ve never really cared about the 10lbs I gain over football season or the lack of movement! In fact I typically look forward to this season with great enthusiasm. Fall Fairs, Family Reunions, Chilli Cook offs, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! Then come January 1st 2018 I will likely resolve to change and do something which will eventually fail and I’ll find myself making the same resolution in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
So, 1st Quarter of 2018 starts now…
Resolve to start moving before the weather cools off! Resolve to meet men that will encourage you on the coldest days! Resolve to be sharpened in the coming weeks so when 2018 rolls in you can stare it down and kick it in the teeth. No need to make a resolution on January 1st if you make it today!!
Tomorrow Morning @ 0530 a group of men lead by 3-16 (a husband, a father, an employee, and man who faced recent job change) Will lead the PAX in a workout for 45 minutes that won’t change their lives or fix their problems. But each step, each movement, each hard breath that is taken leads to the next. These workouts over time create a strength (maybe not physical) that you didn’t even know you had.
Will you Resolve? or Will you Fartsack?
YHC,
Bo Schembechler
